The valley Val Ridanna goes from Vipiteno westwards into mountain glaciers near the Austrian border. The valley is linked historically to Vipiteno. The high valley is below the Monteneve area, one time the highest mining place in Europe, where silver and ores were extracted until a few decades ago. By the end of the 19th century the alpinism brought a broad tourism into the valley, which today offers a beautiful versatility. There can be seen the Mining museum Monteneve, a few pcturesque chapels a S. Maddalena and naturally pleasant hikes to the 20 heartly alpine pastures in Val Ridanna.
